2009 Ride For Hope______________________________________________________
On Wednesday, July 8th,
2009, Team ALLIANCE completed its third annual “Ride for Hope” fundraiser for
Canuck Place Hospice. This year the ride
inlcuded club members, guest riders and members of the Vancouver Canucks Alumni. We stopped at London Drugs in Mission and
Chilliwack for autograph sessions with some notable Canucks from the past. We even convinced, Fin, the team mascot to meet us
at London Drugs in Mission. This year, our
team managed to raise $50, 384 that went to help the kids at Canuck Place. We’ve set our sites to do better next year. The Ride for Hope is one of the few fundraisers
whereby all – that is 100% - of the money raised goes to Canuck Place.
The cheque donation was made at a Vancouver Canucks game on
December 16th, 2009. L-R Clint Mahlman (London Drugs), Michele Cadario (Canuck
Place), Jeff Bandura (Canuck Alumnus & Team Alliance), Colleen Hinchey (Jamieson
Vitamins) and Mark Greenhalgh (Alliance Principle Ingredients).
